To be able to secure a good quality of life for children, it is necessary to examine the factors that affect children’s lives, and these can vary between children from all over the world. One of the main issues remains the fact that the research on children’s perceptions and opinions is limited, since what already exists is beliefs from adults, either parents or experts. What is noticeable is the power of society and how much it can influence children’s quality of life and the need to examine what children need according to the country they live in. The Convention on the Rights of the Child, brought remarkable changes the last 30 years, concerning positive changes in material realities of vulnerable children’s lives. Concluding, there is much that needs to be done and first of all, people need to listen to children to learn what they need and suggest policies that will guarantee their rights and promote a better quality of life for all children.
