Unit 2: Implementing Multiple Intelligences framework in class

This unit explains how the theory of Multiple Intelligences can be applied in class, by profiling students and by understanding their learning styles. It also contains a workshop with three activities. The aim of this unit is for the participants to understand how intelligences can be unlocked by giving appropriate opportunities to students aiming for their wellbeing.

 

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify their colleague’s abilities/intelligences.

  • Explain why MI theory offers an approach through which any skill, content, area, topic, strategy can be addressed.

  • Identify the benefits of using MI theory in class to promote children’s wellbeing and active participation.

  • Practice on a chosen strategy/intelligence type to understand new knowledge and apply this knowledge to enhance children’s wellbeing at school or at home.
