Unit 1: Introduction to Multiple Intelligences theory and the concept of wellbeing

This unit introduces the theory of Multiple Intelligences where relevant characteristics of each intelligence are provided. Also, the concept of wellbeing is defined. It also contains a workshop with three activities. The aim of this unit is for the participants to get familiar with the concepts, answer questions and share

their thoughts on the subject.



Participants will be able to:

  • Summarise the characteristics of each of Gardner’s nine intelligences.

  • Identify their dominant intelligences and their colleagues.

  • Develop activities in their classroom to profile students intelligences.

  • Understand the concept of wellbeing and relate it to the MI theory.
