Unit 1: Children’s Wellbeing

This unit introduces the terms “wellbeing” and “children’s wellbeing”. It contains a workshop with four activities. The aim of this unit is for the participants to understand the concept of wellbeing and what affects a child’s wellbeing


Participants will be able to:

  • Describe the concept of wellbeing
  • Distinguish the objectivity and subjectivity of the concept
  • Identify the factors affecting children’s wellbeing
  • Outline the factors (or categories) taken into consideration when assessing children’s wellbeing
