This unit introduces the terms “wellbeing” and “children’s wellbeing”. It contains a workshop with four activities. The aim of this unit is for the participants to understand the concept of wellbeing and what affects a child’s wellbeing

Describe the concept of wellbeing
Distinguish the objectivity and subjectivity of the concept
Identify the factors affecting children’s wellbeing
Outline the factors (or categories) taken into consideration when assessing children’s wellbeing
